We do a lot of fun projects during social studies. I mostly recall a few projects, that require a lot of research, but they were still very fun. One of my most favorite projects was the New World project. In the New World, there lived a large group of Mayans, then the conquistadors took over and ruled the land. Since then, there has been a lot of Spanish Influence in these lands. In our project, we have to explain what would happen if the Spanish DIDN’T influence nor come to the lands. I would explain this in the form of a travel diary explaining, the (possible) modern Mayan culture and influence that it has today. I decided to simply do a presentation about this and explain my “trip” there.

I chose this because it was one of those projects where I spent all my time on, and I put everything into it. I also practiced a lot for my presentation, and personally, I feel no need to practice presentations, because I feel like I will soon forget it. But I really wanted my presentation to be perfect, that I decided to practice. I think that in the end, it turned out great. It was also one of those projects where you are proud of the work and the thinking that you put into it. And throughout the project, you had to make inferences, and I think that my inferences were really great! I believe that they were accurate, and I feel really proud on the way I delivered the information too. I really like this project and I chose this because of the effort that I put in it and how great it turned out.
