We do not have many projects in Language Arts, but when we do, they are really fun and thought provoking. One project that I did was a concrete poem. A concrete poem is a where the  poem makes up a picture which represents or symbolizes the topic of the poem. We were allowed to make a concrete poem about anything. I wrote mine about stress, because I feel like this is something that almost everybody can relate to, and an emotion or feeling that is quite common when you are a student. A concrete poem was a term that was very new to me, and I had a lot of struggles trying to make one, because I did not know what picture presents stress. But in the end, I decided to simply settle on the letter “S” because it is the beginning letter of the word, “stress.”

I feel like this is my biggest accomplishment in Language Arts because it kind of has a very simple statement, but I think it is relatable, for me personally. I never really was good at writing poems, and I was really surprised to see how much I have improved on writing poems. I think this also shows the huge difference on my abilities over the years. If you asked me to write a poem 3 years ago, I probably would have said, “No way!” But now, if you would ask me, I would say, “Of course I will!” It really shows a huge difference of my educational abilities, and how AdVENTURE truly has changed me.
