Being in AdVENTURE, we use a lot of technology, and we try to incorporate that with PBL. And recently, my science teacher found the perfect tool, which helps PBL and fits with our technology concepts-Trello! This is a tool where you get to keep track of your progress throughout a project. This is great with teams because you will be able to know what is getting done, and finished what. So it works like this: There are two placement areas, Doing and Done. Then on the left, there are an array of cards (made by your teacher or made by you). These list of cards are supposed to show the tasks that need to get done throughout the project. When you are currently doing one of the tasks listed, you drag and drop them at “Doing.” Once you have completed it, you drag and drop them to “Done.” This helps teachers keep track on the things that you are doing and you have completed, and it helps you know what is done (just in case you forget). You can also share this with your teammates, so they can also keep track too, and share it with your teacher in order for your teacher to know what you have done so far.

This tool has been really helpful to me because of how it is like a reminder on what is done, and what needs to be done. I only tried this tool in one project, but I really, really enjoy this tool, and I think that it really helped my team and I get things done, and it also really helped us know where everything was (because we were able to add our products along with the cards). In the past, we always had Google Docs and calendars in order to keep track of our progress. But Trello has made it so much easier. Each card has a due date that we have to get to. And whenever we move the cards, they keep track of which team member moved the card and when they moved it. Although I just have been recently introduced to it, I really like this tool, and I look forward to using it in the future.
