One of the projects that I did for Language Arts is my suitcase project. We did this project after we read a book called Bud, Not Buddy. The book was written by  Christopher Paul Curtis. In the story, Bud (the book's main character) had a suitcase containing the most important things in his life, with very personal reasons. We were supposed to make a suitcase, and take photos of things that are important to us, and put those photos in the suitcase, along with descriptions on why the items are important to us. I put in a doll, a teddy bear, a photo of my family and I in Disneyland for the first time, and baby hat and comb. All these items are very important to me because they made my childhood (which I am still in now) very happy and memorable.

I feel like this project was the most creative and the most fun project that I had in Language Arts. I think that this project was a project that allowed me to make things the way that I want. I also felt like this was one of the best projects that I have done. I also think this project shows who I am and shows the personality I have. This project makes me really proud of the work that I have done over my 6th grade year in Adventure. I had a lot of fun finding out what was important to me. I also really liked to project because everyone's items are different, so everything was unique and special. Except the design of the suitcases, most people in the class were aiming for a common design of a suitcase, just like me. But it was fun to see what everyone had and what was similar and was different about all fo the suitcases.

It was really fun looking through designs of suitcases and trying to put some of that into my project. Many of the materials that I used were unlike other people in my class. For example, for the cover of the suitcase, I used shelf liner. So that made me feel that even though my suitcase looked similar to others, my suitcase was unique. I also felt that I really tried my best to make everything look close to an actual suitcase. I did this by using masking tape to make handles and I used permanent marker to draw thread. By doing this, it made me really proud of this project because I went out of my way to try to make the suitcase look good, yet make the details good.

This is a link to images of items that I put in my "suitcase."
