Jenny's E-Portfolio

     One of the projects that I did in Science Class was the River Studies Project. In the project, you study about a river of your choosing. You have to study the cultural, environmental, and economic significance of the river. And you have to study what humans did to the river and how it affected the river. And finally, we have to make a model of the river, we have to label all the places the river goes through, and the direction that the river flows to. Once you have finished doing your research, you make your video. The river that I studied was the Rio Grande River. The Rio Grande River is a river that starts in Colorado and finishes off at the Gulf of Mexico.

 

     This project also made me proud because I was able to make the project successful even though I was struggling with the research. There was not a lot of information online about the Rio Grande River. And it feels fun to research more and be under the kind of pressure where you have to try your best to find the information that you are looking for.

 

     And it shows how I have improved on projects and researching over the past couple of years. It shows how I learned to research further and even if I feel like I have researched as much as I can, I should still dig deeper to see other pieces of information that I can use. I also had fun making the video and making the model. The model really shows my creative side and what I can do when I work alone. I feel very proud of this project.
